General Ontology for Linguistic Description (GOLD) v. 1.2.2
U of Arizona (11/19/03):
A new version of the General Ontology for Linguistic Description (GOLD) has been developed.
According to the GOLD Community Website, "The primary aim of the GOLD Community is to promote and utilize best-practice methodology in the markup of linguistic data resources." GOLD endeavors to:
- promote best practice as suggested by the E-MELD project
- encourage data interoperability
- encourage the re-use of software
- facilitate search across disparate data sets
- create a forum for data providers and consumers
The following is a tree of all the linguistic descriptors provided by the GOLD ontology.
New: GOLD 2009
The version of GOLD below is outdated.
